Ready for two days of fun, discovery, and inspiration? The USDA-PUP is hosting an epic Summer Camp at the University of Houston, and we want YOU there! Designed for 9th-11th graders from Houston and Fort Bend, this camp is your ticket to explore Food Science, Nutrition, and Agricultural Biotechnology fields that shape the future of food and health.
What’s in Store?
- Day 1: Dive In
- Experience hands-on research like testing food properties or experimenting with biotech tools.
- Touring the UH Main Campus and UH Sugar Land Campus, checking out labs where big ideas come to life.
- Meet your “Cougar bud” a UH student mentor who’ll guide you and share what college life is really like.
- Day 2: Connect & Celebrate
- Visit cutting-edge research facilities and chat with pros from USDA, UH, UT-Health, Texas A&M, and top industries.
- Wrap up with a special session where parents join to learn about UH programs in these exciting fields.
Expect two jam-packed days of learning, exploring, and making friends all while getting a taste of college life and careers that matter.
